Where to travel? What to do?

Sometimes the worst thing about going on a vacation is: Where should I go? What should I do? What is the total cost going to be? And I just want to do something fun, so is it going to be fun?

Olson Travels Co. would now like to provide to you a glimpse into the services that we have just started to offer which answers all the questions that are listed above. We saw and heard a lot from our clients that the idea of trying to figure all the details of just going on a vacation were so stressful that they just thought might as well not even go on a vacation and just save me some stress. Olson Travel Co. thought that was a very sad statement to hear so we thought we would try to see if we would make vacation just seem more like an adventure and not all the stress.

Hopefully we have caught your attention and this sounds a little interesting in how can they do that? Well for those people that need some ideas on where to go actually have built a giant Wheel of Fortune where when you spin it so you could get some ideas for somewhere you never thought you would want to go and do because who doesn’t like to spin a giant wheel?  Olson Travels Co. has been able to partner with some very cool companies who offer services like restaurants, activities like bus tours, or even little shops that sell food or other little interesting things about the area.

Now to play devils advocate for this how could really one company do all this? And where are the places that we will be traveling we actually have compiled a list of just a few places that we thought were fun and you can read those below, but these are only just a few of the actual trips that we plan.

Boston, MA

Home of the Boston Red Sox, the Freedom Trail, and so much more we are proud to announce an opportunity to see the best things here. Through traveling around Boston you can learn about all the history that this great country was founded on and also some of the greatest visionaries that would hopefully be proud of all the things that we have been able to do for our people.

boston-new-england-aquarium-topIn the New England Aquarium you will be able to learn about the science of sharks in a new exhibit that they just recently opened to the public while also being able to have the chance to meet a seal. How cool is that! Just a few of the exhibits that they have right now include the following: the Amazon Rainforest, Edge of the Sea Touch Tank, the Giant Ocean Tank, the Gulf of Maine, Penguin Exhibit, a Seadragon Exhibit, Sea Jellies, Yawkey Coral Reef Center, and they even have a tour that you can join in to go whale watching. All of these exhibits you get to learn and see how these animals live in an area where most people don’t get to see everyday.

Fenway ParkAt Fenway Park, Home of the Boston Red Sox, you can have a night on the town enjoying baseball at one of the best stadiums since 1912 or even stop by during the day and take a tour of this incredible stadium for about 50 minutes. There is also a restaurant that is in the stadium called the Bleacher Bar and as the name implies it is beneath the bleachers in center field with a window that looks directly into the park.

USS ConstitutionTour the USS Constitution Museum and learn more through engaging displays and rare artifacts visitors will meet those who dreamed, designed, and built USS Constitution as they explore why she was built and how her superior design and sturdy construction made her the most fabled ship in American history. But it doesn’t stop there you can also learn about living the life as a sailor on board this ship and what they actually did as well as how they restored this old ship to its glory days.

Treat yourself to all the amazing and fresh food that they have in Boston in many of the restaurants that have fresh seafood that was just caught. Nothing is as good as eating fresh oysters that were just caught or having a nice fish that was prepared to perfection or there is even the option of having the freshest fish and chips in town.

The Freedom TrailFreedom Trail is about a 2.5 mile walk red-lined route that leads you to 16 historically significant sites — each one an authentic treasure. Explore museum, churches, and meetinghouses and discover the history of the American Revolution. This activity you can do by yourself or even join a tour that will show several sites that are really cool to see and learn about.

Seattle, WA

Now whenever you think about Seattle, Washington and you are asked what would you do there normally people usually think only about the Space Needle, but the truth about Seattle is that there is so much more than we can imagine. From farmers markets that are open year around to art museums that are inspiring there is so much to do here.

SpaceNeedleThe Space Needle is the first point to be looking at because out of everything in the world this thing is the most different. Nothing is like this. One of the best things about this place is that you can either take the traditional tourist route and just go to the observation deck or you could eat at the SkyCity Restaurant.

Seattle Central Library

The Seattle Central Public Library is quite the site to see because it was made out of 10,000 panels of glass and 4,500 tons of steel, this is not your average looking library. From the visually appealing outside to the inquisitive interior you can even take a self guided tour from your cell phone by calling a special number.

Washington Ferry

Sailing the Washington State Ferry is one thing that you absolutely can’t pass up because the views that you can see of the Seattle skyline is breathtaking. Also this travel system is great for just a quick little sightseeing trip.

SeattleAquarium

Visiting the Seattle Aquarium is one of the best things to do because not only is it a place to learn about marine life but also that three times a day, divers take to the waters wearing specialized masks that allow them to interact with and answer questions from the audience. Other exhibits include two touching tide pools filled with sea anemones and sunflower sea star, a pacific coral reef exhibit, marine mammals and an underwater dome, the aquarium’s largest exhibit.

SeattleGreatWheel

Nothing sinks your stomach that riding the Seattle Great Wheel which sits 175 feet above Pier 57 and extending nearly 40 feet over Elliott Bay. From the top you will be able to see the beautiful skyline and since these gondolas have the ability to be closed they are able offer year round riding. There is also the ability to purchase a VIP ticket where you can ride with a bottle of champagne, a glass floor, a special VIP t-shirt, and photo booth photos.

There are tons of trips that Olson Travels Co. can help you with even if you have no idea what you would like to do at your destination.
